Road trip Extreme

It makes me wonder at times how we Bruneians take our country for granted. I was moaning about the fact that I was 'local' bound these holidays due to work commitments and decided to take a trip down to KB district. I know I will get ragged about not knowing the difference between KB and Seria.

So.. woke up at 615 am (during the hols ~ what a sacrifice I made) and went down to wait for my mom. Decided to be comfortable so it was capris and a light top for me. Left my house to pick my aunt and then it was to my granma's place. In the end, I was the designated driver and my red car was filled up. I had to make a pit stop to feed my car cos 'someone' did not feed it!

We left for KB and it appeared to be a good day with cloudless skies. Bopping all the way, our rumbling tummies told us it was time for food. We arrived at Sg Liang for the kway teow (opposite Soon Lee) but it is not as nice as MOS kway teow. Still, the place was packed so I think it is standard for transiting passengers (to Miri maybe) to stop and refuel.

Arrived at my unc's place at about 930 and chatted for a while. We decided to go to Naafi to pick up a few things. Naafi is a supermarket which mainly caters to the foreign armed forces but locals were welcome. Most of the stuff there are from UK. My mom 'sapu-ed' a lot of ham and the rest were buying tidbits.

Next it was off to OGDC. We arrived there in time to see Princess Masna leaving. Apparently, there was a road safety exhibition so the roads were closed off. Bad luck for us, OGDC was closed until 2pm.

We left for KB where we had lunch at Hing Nam Fong. I had the laksa whereas the others had roast pork or chicken rice. Wandered around KB for a while.

We went back to OGDC and we stayed there for about 1 and a half hours. We all were like kids! Running around and playing with the exhibits. I think it is a great place for children and adults alike. Currently, the additional exhibit is the optical illusions exhibition. I highly recommend this to children.

We finally had tea at Lee Loi Fatt and went to the tamu in KB. Wow... they bought tons and tons of fresh produce. The car was filled with corn, veggies, salted eggs etc.

We left for home at around 530. It was too late to go to the Korean shop but we drove by the place. We arrived home (my house) at about 715pm.

Whew... it has been a long day and I do feel pooped. But it was a holiday that I enjoyed especially OGDC!! Surprise!!

Noona Noona ?

It is the last stretch to the new term. I haven't done my lesson plan. (Too lazy) Probably will do it tomorrow.

Yesterday met my chingus, ButterflyAngel and Ms Racer for drinks and food at Au Lait. Love the beef burger but I think the portion has gotten smaller.

Chatted about the usual stuff... Bitch .. bitch .. bitch.... lol

Tonight I went for dinner with my sonsaengnim and Julie. Had coffee later on. I was encouraged by my sonsaengnim to apply for the master's scholarship. I have vowed that I will be applying for it next year unless I get married... (Not very likely at this stage..hehe..)

The story so far is brief cos it's already 0021. I should get to sleep cos I have a Friday breakfast date. LOL!!

PS... Taken with my new camera!! My baby!!

Night Out

It's been a while ladies.

Updating:

I have been sick (still) for the past month. I swear its the stress. The moment my runny nose gets better, I get the cough. When my cough is gone, I get the runny nose. It's a vicious cycle.

Anyhow,

last night I went to the Mall with Ms K. Yup, the two of us. We walked around for a while then popped into Cheezbox for dinner. That place was/is happening. Lots of people coming and going.

We decided to watch Kung Fu Panda and went to book tickets for 9pm before dinner. Wah.. it was nearly full house. We had actually booked the third row from the bottom. Told the counter guy that we would be back later, hoping that some people might cancel their booking.

So off we went for dinner, Ms K had the set meal with sweet sour fish and I had the vegetable penne pasta. Not bad lah.

At around 830, we went to get the tickets. It seemed like luck was not on our side. The same seats were available and a lot of people had collected their tickets. We decided to watch it anyway and got the tickets. As we were waiting to go in, suddenly the counter guy came up to us and asked us if we wanted to swap tickets. From the P row , the new tickets were F row. WAH! Of course we took them. I commend Mall Cineplex for good service. Hehe..

How about the movie?

It was definitely a kiddie show and they would enjoy it. The audience ranged from babies (True) to an old grandma (Really True) who had to slowly walk down the steps with the usher lighting the way. It was the first time I had seen someone this old at the cinema,

Definitely funny, a stress reliever. I couldnt't match the voices correctly. (Angelina Jolie was the Tigress!!) Jackie Chan was Monkey!!

So catch the movie if you can. BTW, saw a trailer for Madagascar 2 and that looked great as well. Can't wait for that movie.

Windows....

My apologies chingus. I think the msn is causing my computer some problems. Until I fix it u will not see me online. It is causing my computer to reboot by itself so I may have to reinstall it.

Cross my fingers!

PS.. check out this group, The youngest is 14. I swear they are getting younger or is it that I am getting older.... LOL
