What a day!

All in all, it was a hectic day. Because it is payday, there are lots and lots of people out and about. Kiulap was crowded, Gadong was packed. I quickly rushed home so that I could avoid the prayer crush and I am darn tootin' sure that after prayer time (around 2) there will be megatons of people in Gadong (AGAIN!)

Me, being the maniac that I was went to the Mall last night. Had dinner with K and Jo at Fratini's [Surprise! Not full , about three tables taken] but the cars were just going round and round; most likely a side effect of cheap petrol prices in Brunei.

We went on an interesting topic last night. BTw, we gals decided that we would try to go to DOME every Thursday nite so c u there! Back to the topic, we talked about dating younger men. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) Haha! It was funny how we deliberated over the optimum/minimum age of guys to date and agreed 21 was way too young LOL.

At the mall itself, there were tons of people due to ANOTHER exhibition. Met a few colleagues there. Once again, I must have been mad to go there. Cross my fingers, there will be less people next week.

Tomorrow nite it's back to Gadong for sushi. Arghh... sure that I will have to leave my house by 630 or there will be traffic hell.

More updates then.

First Day!

It's back to work today and I have to say that it was tiring... First 4 periods, then last two. BArely put my butt in the chair and off I go again.

It was quite a depressing day for my kids I expect. They had optimistically asked me, pass teacher? and I had to break the news to them. I cannot fathom how they can expect to pass with minimal effort. I feel sad for them but the implications of hard work has not been drilled into them and there is no such thing as a 'free lunch'.

Well, my voice is about gone after going through the corrections three times in class. Some were interested but others didn't seem bothered. They were only interested in the end result and not caring about probable mistakes I did in the marking.

Enough about WORK!

My vacation!
I went to S'pore with my travel buddy, Leng. It was a mad rush and we didn't do much the first day but we went to Borders (YAY!) and Kinokuniya (YAY YAY!) where I stocked up on my books.

Then it was off to the scarily expensive shops. I was awed by LV and pleasantly surprised by the friendly service. Then it was Cartier , a belt for a friend's dad and Gucci where we were ignored. Not even a 'Can I help you?'

At night we met up with a few Singaporean friends, hers and mine. Larissa, a great mate of mine from Oz and her friend Jackie who was also from Oz. Leng 's friend shall remain nameless (ahem) but we'll call him T.

We had a ball of a time at NYDC on the first night, drinking our coffees and having a kind of tiramisu (ice cream!) The second night we went for coffee at another coffee place (TCC) where the coffee's quite good and they had Ti rum misu.... rum rum rum.....

Didn't make it to Starbucks cos it was really crowded and no tiramisu in sight.

On an interesting note, I was tempted to buy a pendant when we shopped for a friend's wedding gift. Circles, Circles everywhere! Leng got a few (!) stuff and they came with certificates (!)

Hmm... what else is there left to say?

Me Again

Ok.. been told to get off my butt to do something about my blog.

Currently in school holiday mode so basically my brain and body parts shut down.
But amazingly I have managed to arrange and pack all my novels (6 boxes of them ~ Woo hoo!) with the names and authors of the books stuck on the box. This gives me an opportunity to buy even more books *hehehe*

So far I have been continuing my anime quest and am now immersed in Saiyuki.

Watched a mind boggling 50 episodes for the first part, 25 episodes for the second and 26 for the third. A pic of my boys.

I have also been watching Kyou Kara Maoh ~ now on Animax but an episode a day was killing me so I bought the set (with the worst subtitles ever!) This was a brain busting 78 episodes. LOL

So now I am looking for more but can't bear to start watching 'Dragonball' Yipes!

Today I have cleared my Korean dramas by burning them onto discs. This has really cleared up my hard disk space.

1. Bambino Ep 1 - 6

2. Flowers for my life Ep 1 - 6

3. War of Money Ep 1 - 6

4. Sexy Voice and Robo Ep 1- 6

Seing as how each episode averages 700MB , you do the Maths on my free space.

So now, two more days til I go 'Hi Ho Hi Ho' and its off to work I go! Better enjoy the two days the best I can. Therefore, I am going to go for some 'dry' swimming tomorrow. A day of sin and gluttony.

For Leng, a great companion on my trip to Singapore. More details about that tomorrow (Promise!)

Update?!

Ok.. been pushed off my lazy arse to write something but it could be nonsense... lol

I am off to Singapore tomorrow.. shopping frenzy time!! It'll be great to see an old friend of mine again before she gets hitched, hehe. Plus the sales are on now! Orchard Road here I come. Borders! Kinokuniya!Popular!! Whee!!

It's the school holidays now and got lots of things to do. Namely, clean my room! As usual, I am putting off what I can do today, tomorrow. I also have got a project to complete so I think I will be pretty busy next week , trying to motivate myself to finish it!

I have a new addiction now! I have been busy watching anime and reading manga. Saiyuki is my top now... and the character.. Sanzo! Saiyuki is kinda like a version of the 'Journey to the West' and Sanzo is the character of the monk. In this version, he smokes, curses and uses a gun to kill (COOL!!)

A pic of the four guys

Sanzo!

I am currently off my Korean staple of dramas and movies. Seriously, now it seems that Korean dramas have dropped a notch in terms of good dramas. The ones I am watching now in no particular order.

i) War of Money
ii) Scandal in the Capital
iii) Kid Gang

Music wise I am hooked on a Japanese song by Kyohei Kaneko (ex-FLAME), Memory .. It's on repeat mode now.

Will update again.. hehe... when I am forced to.
