So Lazy...

I have been so lazy... as one can see from my last blog which was a while back..

Nothing monumental has happened. The only huge thing was my great grandmother's birthday which was held at Phongmun in town. I never knew that I had so many relatives!! Thanks to my super photographer unc Jan, there were lots of photo ops and smiling faces. It's time to get to know these relatives. My great grandmother is still in very good health and I was just figuring that if I had a child, what would my child call her??

Another thing, I know that the bonus will be out soon and then all of Brunei will be jam packed again. Seriously, what must you buy that you have to spend all your money at one go. Be prudent folks!

The power of the internet was at work with U:Nee's death in Korea. It was widely believed that she was depressed and coupled with the malicious comments of netizens, she committed suicide at only age 26. Now she came out about her plastic surgery, she was honest but the nteizens started bashing her with increased tendency. Sometimes these netizens are cowardly as*ho*es who just want to make themselves feel good. The netizens are really powerful and they can either make or break a celeb.

It seems as if 'Goong S' with Se7en is not doing too well in the ratings game. Dal Ja's Spring (Chae Rim and Lee Min Ki) are tops at the timeslot it shares with 'Goong S' The power of teenagers is not enough! I am not watching this Goong (suffice to say I haven't watched the first one either) I like Se7en but not so enamoured of the co-stars and plot. Currently watching Dal Ja and it's not too bad. The story about a 33 year old career woman looking for love. It's been compared to Sam Soon but as one viewer said, it's more like Bridget Jones.

My Lovers is over for now. I gave been frantically watching all the episodes again. I just love this show and will be buying the DVD when it comes out. Now, to find the original OST and buy it!

Music

Have been listening to the OST of Lovers, plus the song 'koriesso' which was in the drama and 'Go Baek' as sung by my dimpled mobster.

New Year, New Resolutions?

It's the beginning of another year.Back to work and in the groove of things.

I anticipate this year to be quite busy for myself. A few of us Korean fanatics in Brunei have decided to start a Korean Culture Club, with the help of Kim songsaengnim. We are targeting those who are above 18 because they are more likely to be 'matured' (dare I say?) in their manner of speaking. We hope to spread the different 'textures' of Korean culture, from food to traditional games and perhaps chuck in a few drama or movies in the mix. Our club blog is http://bruneikoreancultureclub.wordpress.com/

What else is happening? Hmm.. I am quite excited that I have plans to go to Japan. It is going to be pricey but hey, the more I think about it I know I will decide against going. So go with the flow and just go! I regard this as a birthday gift to myself and I am not getting any younger.. SIGH!

Before I forget! Hi Ann and Bernie! Hope you reach my blog!! *gives a big wet kiss*

Finally 90 Days is over... a weep fest I tell you. Watching this show will make your eyes swell like bees.

Only two more episodes to go before Lovers end. Last night there was a torrid kissing scene and made a lot of viewers comment on it.

For non-Koreans, this is nothing but for Koreans, it generated a lot of net buzz...had to fan myself after watching the scene. I have watched many Korean dramas and most of the time the kissing is tame (as in closed mouths and no head movement) but this scene took the whole cake!
